Ubuntu-events

Established in 2017, Ubuntu4one is addresses burning Social issues faced by the Sub-Sahara minority migrant communities settling in Australia. This is in response to modern day scholarly evidence on the Socio-cultural and Socio-economic challenges faced by the ‘minority’ communities, such as: increased number of mental health and suicide cases, violence, limited social networks, lack of culturally relevant role modelling and social isolation.Ubuntu4one endeavours to be a vehicle that promotes the migrant community's good through promoting, social cohesion, edutainment, entrepreneurship, promoting gender equality and positive role modelling. We are driven by the Philosophy of Ubuntu (Humanity), firmly rooted in African languages and culture. Ubuntu means “I am what I am, because we are”, this is the golden thread that has continued to tie African communities together for decades. “Ubuntu” promotes humanity towards others, emphasising on the authentic universal humankind bond, that defines humankind’s untainted spirit of love and togetherness”.
