"Disinformation: A Threat to Democracy?"

Fake news, misinformation, deepfakes... Disinformation, amplified by social media and artificial intelligence, poses a serious threat to democracies. According to the Medialux study, 98.9% of Luxembourgers report having been exposed to false or distorted information.
This conference will explore the ethical and societal challenges of this phenomenon: how can we combat it without fueling opinion polarization or mistrust?
Elisabeth Margue, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Media and Connectivity, will conclude the event with a closing speech.
